BRIEF:
Create an identity for the launch of a new film competition to celebrate local and national talent with a mission to champion the UK’s new and upcoming filmmakers.
RESPONSE:
A suite of collateral that serves to intrigue, excite and encourage participation.
The Beer Town Film Festival – The logo is a playful exploration of the vernacular of the ‘film festival award’ which often uses a laurel wreath – a symbol of ‘triumph’ – but replaces the ‘laurel’ with ‘hops’ which serve to establish visual clues that this event is beer related – whilst the condensed sans serif font are a nod to the golden era of Hollywood.
The logo had to be flexible enough to feature on various pieces of collateral in print, digital, t-shirts and the awards themselves.
